You’ve probably seen them, those ads that say make money online with an online business you can run from home. I know I have, and it got me wondering if it’s as easy as they say it is why aren’t we all doing it?
Because having their own business and running it from home, making money beyond the dreams of averice has massive appeal. And wouldn’t it be great to go into work on a Monday morning and tell your boss where he can stick his damn job, then walk to the nearest Farrari dealership and pay cash for the phallic red super car.
Yep it appeals…
But is it real, is it possible, can you really make money online from an online business?
Make Money Online – The Truth
Okay so here it is in a nutshell…
Yes, you can make money online, it is possible and there are plenty of people who are. But there’s even more that aren’t.
There are more people out there who’ve spent thousands of their hard-earned on starting an online business and never made a penny in return.
Here’s the problem
Yes, you can start an online business today if you want to. but the real question is, should you?
The fact that it’s easy to start an online business is problem number 1. It’s too easy. Think of it like this, if you want to start a new career in a new field, something you know very little about, what do you need to do.
Well, you need training to start with and that training costs. If you want to open a store, it takes time, knowledge and money.
In short, if you want to start a new career or a new business, it costs you in
- Time
- Training
- Money
And starting a new online business is no different. Ask any existing business owner either online or on the high street what it takes to be successful and the answer is in the image below.
so the question is before you start trying to make money online with a new online business is have you got what it takes?
If the answer to that is no, then move on my friend and keep your wallet closed. If however, you think you do, what then?
To make money online you MUST have a system, you MUST have access to people who’s been there done that and who are wearing “I can make money online” t-shirt, you need a mentor basically.
And you MUST be willing to invest in your business future – that’s the money bit.
Also, be prepared for that fact you probably won’t make any money for a few months, so make sure you’ve got enough put by to keep you going.
And never give up. Be determined, be focussed, be consistent. So there’s 3 more things you need to be prepared to do.
The fact is that online it’s really easy to get distracted by other systems, other people, other programs that look shiny and new, and it’s really easy to be pulled towards these bright shiny objects. So you’ve got to guard yourself against this magpie mentality and stick to your guns. If you don’t whatever money you’ve spent so far, you’ve wasted!
You get what you pay for
And this is more than true online. If you want to make money online you have to create strategic alliances with people who have what you want. They also need to be willing to share with you, without holding back, how they got it.
You have to like them and they have to like you or neither of you is going anywhere, so don’t dive into the first opportunity you see. You want to speak to them first and talk about your goals and see if they’re a good fit. Remember whatever you do to start your business it’s going to cost you. So invest wisely.
